The Rice University Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning (CERCL) advances Rice’s mission by promoting innovative research, engaged pedagogy, and collaborative approaches to learning that prepare students to think critically, communicate effectively, and lead in diverse contexts. Formerly Houston Enriches Rice Education, CERCL’s work integrates creative knowledge production with community engagement—locally in Houston and beyond—helping students and faculty explore new models of leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
